Ideas — Figure Out Later

Parking lot for ideas, questions, and improvements that came up while reading or working on the wiki. Not decisions. Not commitments. Things worth revisiting.

Each entry: heading + 1–2 sentences. If the idea came from a specific doc, link it as From: at the end.

Day 1 Parking-Lot Whiteboard

Day 1 rule bans mechanism brainstorming but says ideas go on a "parking-lot whiteboard for later" — need to define what that actually looks like (physical whiteboard? shared doc? Notion page?) and when/how it gets revisited during prototyping.

Day 2 Group Answer Capture

Day 2 game analysis has each small group answering a fixed set of questions — need a lightweight way to capture answers consistently (paper worksheet, Google Form, spreadsheet template, or tiny web form) so results are comparable and easy to consolidate.

Day 5 Scoring Sim Worked Example

Build a scoring simulation example from a past season and drop it in docs/examples/ so teams have a concrete reference for what Day 5's sim output should look like (inputs, assumptions, expected-points math).

Broadcast Signed Decisions to Whole Team

Every gate sign-off, Priority List signature, part-release approval, and ECR approval should be posted somewhere the whole team sees (channel, board, standup readout) so decisions don't stay locked inside the room where they were signed. Touches gate reviews, CAD lock, BOM sign-off, safety-critical cards, and every template with a Sign-off section.

Fun Down-Select Team Event

Design a fun whole-team format for the end-of-Week-2 Down-Select gate — think prototype demo-day, science-fair style stations, popcorn, votes, or a "shark tank" pitch — so every student sees every prototype instead of only the ones they built. Keeps morale high and spreads context before CAD.

Trusted Vendors List for Team Code Red

Build and maintain an accurate "vendors we trust" list scoped to Team Code Red — with contact, lead times, quality notes, and last-order date per vendor — so purchasing decisions don't rely on tribal knowledge. Expands the generic COTS-first list in manufacturing.
